The plot
Wine expert Margaret Harwood travels to Scotland to assess a remarkable discovery: a bottle dating from 1811. What should be a valuable acquisition becomes a dangerous journey when others decide they want the wine for themselves. Her assigned escort, Oliver Plexico, proves both an irritation and a possible ally. Penelope Ann Miller and Tim Daly star in Peter Yates’s romantic adventure, written by William Goldman. With Louis Jourdan adding to the intrigue, Year of the Comet blends a treasure chase with the friction of an unlikely partnership.
