About Our Products

DVD-R / MANUFACTURE ON DEMAND (MOD) — PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING

At Retro Classic Flixs, we specialize in providing rare, hard-to-find, discontinued, and out-of-print movies on physical media.

Please read this information carefully before placing your order. The titles offered through our online shop are provided in DVD-R format using Manufacture On Demand (MOD) technology.

Our goal is to make hard-to-find films available to collectors and movie fans when a conventional factory-pressed DVD may no longer be readily available or when a title was not widely released on commercially pressed DVD.

WHAT YOU ARE PURCHASING

These products are DVD-R discs, not factory-pressed retail DVDs.

A DVD-R is a recordable optical disc manufactured specifically for the order. It is different from the traditional factory-pressed DVDs that were mass-produced and sold through retail stores.

Your purchase will include:

• A newly manufactured DVD-R disc

• A standard DVD case

• Complete product artwork

• The movie or television program identified in the product listing

• Any subtitles, audio options, bonus material, or other features specifically stated in the individual listing

The exact contents and specifications can vary by title. Please read the individual product description before purchasing.

DVD-R FORMAT

Because these are DVD-R products, playback compatibility can vary between devices.

DVD-R discs are compatible with many standard DVD players, computers, and gaming systems that support DVD-R playback, but compatibility is not universal.

Some older, specialized, or otherwise incompatible equipment may not recognize or properly play DVD-R media.

If you are unsure whether your equipment supports DVD-R discs, please verify compatibility with your device manufacturer before purchasing.

VIDEO AND AUDIO QUALITY

The picture and sound quality of a DVD-R/MOD title depend on the best source material available for that particular movie or program.

As a result:

• Quality may vary from title to title.

• The presentation may differ from an original theatrical, broadcast, VHS, laserdisc, or factory-pressed DVD release.

• Some titles may have older or lower-resolution source material.

• Video may contain characteristics associated with the original source.

• Audio quality may vary depending on the available source.

We do not want customers to assume that every DVD-R will have the same presentation quality as a newly produced commercial studio Blu-ray or modern factory-pressed DVD.

Please review the individual product listing for any title-specific information regarding video, audio, aspect ratio, subtitles, language, or other specifications.

MENUS, SUBTITLES, CHAPTERS & BONUS FEATURES

Do not assume that a title includes bonus features, subtitles, multiple audio tracks, or other extras unless they are specifically identified in the product listing.

CASE AND ARTWORK

All of our DVD-R products comes with a DVD case and complete artwork as stated in the individual listing.

Because these products are not necessarily packaged in the same manner as an original factory retail release:

• Artwork may differ from original studio packaging.

• Packaging may differ from an original commercial release.

• Artwork may be newly prepared or adapted for the product.

• Original retail inserts, booklets, promotional materials, or other packaging items are not guaranteed unless specifically stated.

The presence of artwork or a DVD case does not mean that the product is an original factory-pressed retail edition.

IMPORTANT: DVD-R IS NOT THE SAME AS A FACTORY-PRESSED DVD

To avoid any misunderstanding:

DVD-R = recordable disc / Manufacture On Demand format

Factory-Pressed DVD = commercially manufactured pressed retail disc

If you are specifically looking for an original factory-pressed retail edition, please do not assume that a DVD-R/MOD product is the same thing.

Our listings are intended to clearly identify the format so customers can make an informed purchasing decision.

TITLE AVAILABILITY

Many of the movies and programs we offer are rare, discontinued, hard-to-find, or otherwise difficult to obtain on physical media.

MOD technology provides a way to manufacture individual copies as needed rather than relying exclusively on previously mass-produced inventory.

Availability of a title in DVD-R/MOD format does not necessarily mean that an original factory-pressed DVD edition exists or is currently available.

PLEASE CHECK THE INDIVIDUAL PRODUCT LISTING

If a specification is not stated in the listing, please contact us before purchasing if that specification is important to you.

CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By placing an order for a DVD-R/MOD product, you acknowledge that:

1. You understand that the product is a DVD-R and not a factory-pressed retail DVD.

2. You understand that the disc is newly manufactured for the order and is not previously owned or an ex-rental disc.

3. You understand that DVD-R playback compatibility depends on the equipment being used.

5. You understand that menus, subtitles, chapters, bonus features, and other extras may be limited or unavailable unless specifically stated.

6. You understand that artwork and packaging may differ from original commercial studio releases.

7. You have reviewed the individual product listing and understand the specifications stated for the title you are purchasing.
