Rio Conchos (1964) DVD
The plot
Stolen Army rifles lead a cavalry officer to a former Confederate soldier who may know where the weapons are going. An uneasy group sets out to investigate, carrying resentments that threaten the mission as much as the dangers ahead. Following the guns brings them toward a plan rooted in the unfinished business of the Civil War. Richard Boone, Stuart Whitman, Tony Franciosa and Jim Brown star in Gordon Douglas's Western. The expedition puts men with conflicting loyalties into close quarters, giving the action a persistent edge of mistrust. Viewers drawn to hard-edged Western adventures will find a story where cooperation is always provisional.
