Film
Mr. Frost (1990) DVD
The plot
A man arrested after bodies are discovered at his home becomes an enigma for the doctors trying to understand him. When he finally chooses to speak to psychiatrist Sarah Day, his claim to be the Devil turns their sessions into a confrontation between medical certainty and the possibility of something far more disturbing. Jeff Goldblum plays the unsettling patient opposite Kathy Baker, with Alan Bates also in the cast. Philippe Setbon's thriller places much of its menace in conversation and the question of who is controlling it. Viewers who favor psychological unease and supernatural ambiguity will find a different kind of confrontation here.
