The Haunting of Julia (1977) DVD — Full Circle
The plot
After her daughter’s death, Julia Lofting leaves her husband and moves into a London house, hoping to find a life beyond her grief. Disturbing encounters with a childlike presence instead draw her toward a buried story whose cruelty threatens to enter her own world. Mia Farrow leads Richard Loncraine’s adaptation of Peter Straub’s novel, also known as Full Circle, with Keir Dullea and Tom Conti among the cast. This is a ghost story built around bereavement and unease, well suited to viewers who prefer a slowly deepening mystery to a succession of shocks.
