Macho Callahan (1970) DVD
The plot
After escaping from a Confederate prison during the Civil War, Macho Callahan pursues revenge against the man responsible for his imprisonment. A killing along the way brings another determined opponent into his life: a widow who places a bounty on him and joins the hunt. David Janssen, Jean Seberg and Lee J. Cobb feature in this Western directed by Bernard L. Kowalski. The story follows the consequences of vengeance as pursuer and pursued become caught in the same cycle. It is a choice for viewers drawn to harsh frontier dramas and characters whose actions leave little room for an easy escape.
