Blood and Roses (1960) DVD — English-Dubbed Version
The plot
As a wedding approaches at a country estate, Carmilla is drawn toward an abandoned abbey and the tomb of a vampire ancestor. Her fascination takes a disturbing turn, bringing desire and supernatural menace into the household. Roger Vadim reworks Sheridan Le Fanu's Carmilla as a gothic tale built around atmosphere and obsession. Viewers exploring European vampire cinema will find an alternative to the familiar castle-and-count formula.
