The plot
Jane arrives from America to visit her father and stepmother in London, only to find herself entered into the debutante season. Rex Harrison, Kay Kendall, Sandra Dee and John Saxon star in Vincente Minnelli’s comedy, with Angela Lansbury adding another determined voice to the matchmaking. The fun comes from parents attempting to manage a romance that refuses to follow their rules. It is a charming option for viewers who enjoy polished society farce.
