The Glory Guys (1965) DVD
The plot
A cavalry officer trains new recruits while an ambitious general prepares a campaign whose risks are becoming impossible to ignore. Personal rivalries and a romantic triangle complicate life at the post, but the soldiers must eventually face the consequences of decisions made above them. Tom Tryon, Harve Presnell and Senta Berger star in Arnold Laven’s Western, written by Sam Peckinpah. The Glory Guys brings together military routine, uneasy camaraderie and the threat of a disastrous engagement. It is a choice for Western collectors interested in stories that question the distance between battlefield glory and the men expected to deliver it.
