The Fiend (1972) DVD — Beware My Brethren
The plot
Kenny lives under the influence of his mother and a strict religious sect, while a violent private life grows beyond their control. As repression and obsession collide, the apparent certainties of his enclosed world give way to fear and increasingly dangerous behavior. Tony Beckley, Ann Todd and Patrick Magee appear in Robert Hartford-Davis’s unsettling British horror film, also known as Beware My Brethren. The Fiend focuses on disturbed relationships and fanaticism rather than supernatural monsters, making it a choice for adult viewers interested in the harsher psychological side of 1970s British genre cinema.
