The Black Knight (1954) DVD
The plot
A swordsmith hopes to prove himself worthy of knighthood and of the woman he loves. When treachery threatens King Arthur’s court, he takes on the identity of the Black Knight, using his craft and courage to confront enemies whose loyalties are not what they seem. Alan Ladd stars with Patricia Medina and Peter Cushing in Tay Garnett’s medieval adventure. Romance, court intrigue and swordplay give The Black Knight its storybook appeal, making it a suitable companion to other 1950s swashbucklers for viewers who enjoy heroes working their way from humble origins to a larger destiny.
