The plot
Searching the American West for the man who killed his friend, a French fighter becomes involved in a conflict between struggling farmers and a powerful landowner. His skill in savate offers the farmers a means of resistance, but helping them also places him in the path of his own unfinished fight. Olivier Gruner stars with Ian Ziering and Ashley Laurence in Isaac Florentine's martial-arts Western, also known as The Fighter. Combining a frontier setting with French kickboxing gives the familiar struggle against intimidation a different physical style. This remastered DVD is a choice for viewers who enjoy martial-arts action outside its usual settings.
