Light of Day (1987) DVD — Remastered Edition
The plot
For Cleveland siblings Joe and Patti, playing in a rock band offers a way beyond the demands of everyday life. Their plans to tour collide with family obligations, strained relationships and different ideas about how much can be sacrificed for music. Michael J. Fox and Joan Jett play the siblings, with Gena Rowlands as their mother, in Paul Schrader's drama. Music provides the setting for a family story about loyalty and independence. It is a rewarding direction for viewers exploring the dramatic work of its leads or films about the difficult balance between creative ambition and responsibility.
