Kidnapped (1971) DVD
The plot
David Balfour goes to claim his inheritance and instead finds himself betrayed by his uncle and carried away aboard a ship. His encounter with fugitive Jacobite Alan Breck begins an uneasy partnership, as the young heir is drawn into a dangerous journey across eighteenth-century Scotland. Lawrence Douglas and Michael Caine star with Trevor Howard in Delbert Mann's adventure adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson's fiction. The contrast between David's inexperience and Alan's hard-won instincts gives the escape story its energy, offering viewers a mix of historical conflict, friendship and pursuit.
