The plot
An unemployed writer accepts a job that sends him to Czechoslovakia, unaware that his new employers are using him for an intelligence mission. What looks like a business assignment becomes a dangerous exercise in improvisation as he tries to understand who is watching him and why. Dirk Bogarde and Sylva Koscina star with Robert Morley in Ralph Thomas's spy comedy, also known as Agent 8¾. The gap between a bewildered civilian and the professionals around him gives Cold War intrigue a playful twist for fans of British comedy.
