Grim Prairie Tales (1990) DVD
The plot
A bounty hunter and a traveling clerk share a campfire on the prairie and begin exchanging unsettling stories. As each tries to outdo the other, their tales reveal a frontier where ordinary encounters can take frightening turns and the darkness beyond the fire feels increasingly close. James Earl Jones and Brad Dourif anchor Wayne Coe's western horror anthology. The contrast between the storytellers and their macabre entertainment makes it an inviting choice for viewers who like campfire chills and unusual combinations of familiar genres.
