Finch (2021) DVD
The plot
An engineer surviving in a devastated world builds a robot to care for his dog when he can no longer do so. Forced to leave their shelter, the three travel west together, turning lessons in survival into an unexpected education in trust and companionship. Tom Hanks plays Finch, with Caleb Landry Jones as the robot Jeff, in Miguel Sapochnik's science-fiction drama. The small, unlikely family at its center makes this a warm choice for viewers who enjoy thoughtful science fiction built around relationships rather than battles.
