Darkroom (1989) DVD
The plot
A young woman returns to her family’s country home, where a quiet visit gives way to a series of killings. As a photographer’s darkroom becomes part of the mystery, the people closest to her come under suspicion and the familiar surroundings grow increasingly threatening. Terrence O’Hara directs this horror thriller starring Aarin Teich and Jill Pierce. Darkroom brings a murder mystery into an isolated family setting, using photography, concealed motives and shifting suspicions to keep its characters uncertain about whom to trust. It is a fitting choice for viewers drawn to late-1980s slasher mysteries.
