Clownhouse (1989) DVD
The plot
Three brothers return from a carnival to a night that becomes increasingly frightening. Escaped killers have taken the identities of clowns, and the boys’ home offers little protection once the intruders begin turning familiar rooms and dark corners into places to hide and hunt. Nathan Forrest Winters, Brian McHugh and Sam Rockwell play the brothers in this horror thriller. Clownhouse builds on the youngest boy’s fear of clowns, drawing tension from the distance between what he senses and what those around him are prepared to believe as danger closes in.
