The plot
Nebraska farmer Wilfred James believes his wife’s plan to sell their land will destroy the life he wants. He draws his teenage son into a murder plot, but removing the immediate obstacle brings consequences neither of them can escape. Guilt begins to occupy the farm as insistently as the rats gathering around it. Thomas Jane stars with Molly Parker and Dylan Schmid in Zak Hilditch’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novella. Set against an isolated rural landscape, 1922 is a slow-burning horror story about a father’s influence and a crime that refuses to stay buried.
