Vibes (1988) DVD
The plot
Psychics Sylvia and Nick accept an unusual assignment from a man who wants their help finding treasure in South America. Their abilities make them useful companions, but not necessarily comfortable ones. As the journey takes them through Ecuador, the search reveals a danger that reaches beyond the value of anything they might uncover. Cyndi Lauper and Jeff Goldblum star with Peter Falk in this supernatural adventure comedy. Romance, competing personalities and paranormal surprises complicate what first appears to be a treasure hunt. For viewers who enjoy eccentric partnerships and fantasy with a comic touch, the film offers a distinctly 1980s meeting of psychic powers and earthly misunderstandings.
