The Night We Never Met (1993) DVD
The plot
Three New Yorkers use the same apartment on different days, hoping for a little space from their everyday lives. Sam leaves food and thoughtful notes; Ellen begins to imagine the man behind them. A mistaken assumption about their unseen housemate turns that promising connection into a romantic puzzle. Matthew Broderick, Annabella Sciorra and Kevin Anderson star in Warren Leight’s comedy of crossed schedules and mismatched expectations. The apartment becomes a meeting place even when its occupants are never there together. This is a good fit for viewers who enjoy city romances built around character, small gestures and the complications of a clever premise.
