The Big Town (1987) DVD
The plot
A small-town gambler arrives in Chicago with quick hands and big expectations. His success at the dice table brings opportunity, but an attraction to a dancer pulls him into a dangerous relationship, where the stakes extend far beyond the money changing hands. Matt Dillon and Diane Lane star alongside Tommy Lee Jones in this 1987 thriller. The Big Town trades on the uneasy overlap between ambition, desire and risk, making it a choice for viewers drawn to gambling stories and crime dramas in which a promising fresh start can become a trap.
