Showdown (1973) DVD — Rock Hudson and Dean Martin
The plot
A train robbery brings two longtime friends together on opposite sides of the law. One has become a sheriff; the other is an outlaw whose choices threaten everything their friendship once meant. As the pursuit closes in, shared memories make a straightforward arrest far more complicated. Rock Hudson and Dean Martin star with Susan Clark in George Seaton's Western. The frontier action is grounded in the cost of loyalty, with personal affection pulling against public duty. Viewers who enjoy Westerns shaped by relationships will find a story about the distance that can grow between people who once knew one another well.
