Profile for Murder (1996) DVD
The plot
Asked to assess a man suspected of murder, a police psychiatrist finds her professional distance threatened by a powerful attraction. The sessions should help clarify the case, but desire and uncertainty make her judgment less secure. Determining who is dangerous becomes increasingly difficult when she is personally involved. Joan Severance and Lance Henriksen star in David Winning's psychological thriller. The investigation is driven by uneasy encounters and the risk of mistaking fascination for understanding. Viewers drawn to the erotic thrillers of the 1990s will find a story in which the person studying a suspect may also be vulnerable to manipulation.
