The plot
Astronauts investigating a mysterious spacecraft bring an ancient discovery back to Earth, unaware that it carries a lethal mechanical threat. Their search for its origins takes them to the Moon, where the remains of a forgotten civilization conceal a danger that has waited far beyond human memory. Walter Koenig and Bruce Campbell star in Robert Dyke's science-fiction adventure. The pairing brings familiar genre faces to a story of lunar exploration, hostile machines and ancient astronauts. For viewers drawn to practical-effects space thrillers, its appeal is the collision between the promise of discovery and the consequences of bringing the unknown home.
