Mercenary (1996) DVD
The plot
After his wife is killed in a terrorist attack, businessman Jonas Ambler hires a mercenary to track down those responsible. There is one condition: Ambler insists on joining the mission himself. His determination puts a man accustomed to business decisions into a world where inexperience can prove fatal. Olivier Gruner and John Ritter star with Robert Culp in Avi Nesher’s action thriller. Mercenary draws its tension from the uneasy partnership between a professional fighter and a grieving civilian, giving the pursuit a personal cost beyond the assignment. It is a choice for viewers who enjoy mismatched allies in dangerous territory.
