Deconstructing Harry (1997) DVD
The plot
Novelist Harry Block has borrowed freely from the lives of people around him, leaving a trail of resentment behind his successful books. As he travels to receive an honor, memories, fictional characters and damaged relationships crowd into a journey he cannot keep under control. Woody Allen writes, directs and stars alongside an ensemble including Kirstie Alley and Billy Crystal. The collision between invention and uncomfortable reality offers a sharp comedy for viewers interested in unreliable storytellers and the cost of turning life into art.
