Beyond Desire (1995) DVD
The plot
Newly out of prison, Ray Patterson wants to uncover the truth behind the murder that sent him there. A call girl named Rita becomes his unlikely partner, while a gangster’s interest in missing money turns the search into a dangerous pursuit. William Forsythe and Kari Wuhrer star in Dominique Othenin-Girard’s crime thriller. Beyond Desire follows two people whose attraction develops under pressure from violence, distrust and an unresolved past. Its combination of a damaged outsider, a risky alliance and criminal secrets gives the story a distinctly noir setting.
