Barfly (1987) DVD — Collector’s Edition
The plot
Writer Henry Chinaski spends his days drinking, arguing and fighting in Los Angeles bars. A bond with fellow drinker Wanda gives him companionship, while a publisher's interest in his writing offers a very different life that he may not want. Mickey Rourke and Faye Dunaway lead Barbet Schroeder's comedy-drama, written by Charles Bukowski. Its abrasive humor and unconventional love story make this a distinctive choice for fans of character-driven American cinema.
