Jack Reed: Badge of Honor (1993) DVD
The plot
Chicago police sergeant Jack Reed investigates the murder of a young mother, only to find that the trail leads into undercover operations and protected interests. Pursuing the killer becomes a test of how far he can go when the people obstructing him may be working inside the system. Brian Dennehy returns as Reed in this television crime drama, with Susan Ruttan and Alice Krige. The conflict between an individual investigation and institutional priorities gives the case its edge, making it an appealing choice for fans of determined detectives and 1990s police stories.
