Amsterdamned (1988) DVD — Uncut Version
The plot
A killer is using Amsterdam’s canals to move unseen, turning the city’s familiar waterways into hiding places and escape routes. Detective Eric Visser follows the murders toward a threat that is difficult to track and increasingly close to his own life. Huub Stapel stars with Monique van de Ven in Dick Maas’s Dutch thriller. Combining a police investigation with slasher suspense and a memorable speedboat pursuit, Amsterdamned gives its city setting an active role in the danger.
