Wonder Man (1945) DVD
The plot
Quiet bookworm Edwin Dingle is nothing like his nightclub-entertainer twin, Buzzy Bellew. When Buzzy is murdered after witnessing a crime, his ghost recruits Edwin to help bring the killers to justice. Edwin must enter his brother’s world of show business, romance and gangsters, with a particularly persistent spirit providing assistance. Danny Kaye plays both brothers in this musical comedy, joined by Virginia Mayo and Vera-Ellen. For fans of Kaye’s rapid shifts between nervous innocence and exuberant performance, Wonder Man supplies a lively supernatural twist.
