The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1962) DVD
The plot
A family with roots in Argentina finds itself divided between France and Germany as Europe moves toward war. In Paris, Julio Desnoyers pursues pleasure and romance, but occupation and the choices of those around him make personal neutrality increasingly difficult to maintain. Glenn Ford and Ingrid Thulin star in Vincente Minnelli’s 1962 drama, with Charles Boyer among the cast. This version places its family conflict in the Second World War, joining romantic melodrama with questions of duty and conscience. It offers viewers a sweeping story about what happens when history intrudes on a life built around avoiding responsibility.
