The Expendables (1988) DVD
The plot
A group of American soldiers in Vietnam is assembled for an exceptionally dangerous assignment: cross into Cambodia and bring back prisoners of war. Their mission demands cooperation from men who do not make an obvious team, and survival depends on whether they can turn their differences into strength. Peter Nelson and Anthony Finetti feature in this 1988 war-action film directed by Cirio H. Santiago. This is the Vietnam-era story, separate from the later Sylvester Stallone franchise. Its rescue mission and combative ensemble make it a selection for fans exploring the military action films of the 1980s.
