Schizoid (1980) DVD
The plot
An advice columnist begins receiving threatening letters while people connected to her life are murdered. Her therapy group, intended as a place of support, becomes another source of suspicion. The psychiatrist leading the sessions has troubles of his own, leaving her uncertain about whom she can trust. Klaus Kinski and Marianna Hill star in David Paulsen's thriller, with Donna Wilkes and Christopher Lloyd among the cast. A scissors-wielding killer and an intimate circle of suspects give the mystery its unsettling shape. The film is a choice for horror collectors interested in the overlap between American slashers and the stylized whodunit tradition.
