Rawhead Rex (1986) DVD — Uncut
The plot
A farmer disturbs an ancient seal in an Irish field and releases a creature whose history has faded into local legend. As the attacks spread, an American visitor searches for clues to how the monster was defeated before. The answer may lie in an image that has not survived intact. David Dukes stars in this creature feature written by Clive Barker and directed by George Pavlou. Rural folklore and the urgency of protecting a family give the rampage its setting and stakes. This uncut, remastered edition suits horror collectors drawn to physical monsters and stories of an old evil breaking into everyday life.
