Dolls (1987) DVD
The plot
Travelers caught in a storm find shelter with an elderly couple whose house is filled with handmade dolls. What first looks like an eccentric refuge becomes a dangerous place for adults who treat others badly, while a child's imagination may be the best guide to survival. Stuart Gordon directs this horror fantasy with Stephen Lee, Guy Rolfe and Hilary Mason. Its miniature terrors and twisted fairy-tale logic make an entertaining choice for viewers who enjoy creature effects, dark humor and toys that should have stayed on the shelf.
