Deadly Strike (1978) DVD
The plot
A new police chief arrives in a provincial town with orders to bring a dangerous gang to justice. Finding his own deputies unreliable, he makes an unusual offer to the prisoners in his cells: help him confront the criminals and earn a chance at freedom. Bruce Li stars in this martial-arts action film, where enforcing the law means depending on men already on its wrong side. Deadly Strike gives its fights an uneasy foundation of shared interests and uncertain loyalties, making it a choice for viewers who enjoy kung fu stories built around unlikely teams.
