Buy & Cell (1988) DVD
The plot
Stockbroker Herbie Altman is sent to prison after being framed for financial fraud. His investment skills soon attract the attention of fellow inmates, and a small favor develops into a business that gives the prisoners something the institution never intended them to have: financial power. Robert Carradine stars with Malcolm McDowell, Michael Winslow and Randall “Tex” Cobb in Robert Boris’s comedy. Buy & Cell brings stock-market ambition behind bars, turning the clash between enterprising inmates and prison authority into a satire of money, influence and the unlikely places where a business can grow.
