Blood of the Hunter (1995) DVD
The plot
In the Canadian wilderness, a trapper and his wife face a threat more personal than the dangers of the landscape. A violent outsider’s interest in their lives brings suspicion and fear into an isolated community, putting the couple’s trust and survival under pressure. Michael Biehn, Alexandra Vandernoot and Gabriel Arcand star in Gilles Carle’s period adventure. Blood of the Hunter uses its remote setting to intensify a story of obsession and pursuit, with distance from help making every encounter matter. The film is also known by its French title, Le sang du chasseur.
